Overtime Live!
I've got one eye on the keyboard and the other on customers as all the two are busy at the moment. As you can read, we are a little short staffed at the moment (and I'm not referring to my height), and we are in the process of hiring a temporary employee for six weeks. I was going to offer the job to Josh, but he got himself hired as a layout tech/manager at a T-Shirt factory. Yes, I thought the same thing, sounds pretty fun. Charlotte, AKA "Le Dead Thing", has managed to get hired at the shoe store across the street from Shannon's shoe store. In fact, both stores are owned by the same company and Charlotte is being sent across the street from time to time as Shannon's store is short staffed too.

Sounds like you guys are pretty busy! Glad to hear that you are enjoying yourselves and that you are all gainfully employed. Andi Argast is very pleased that you are following in her footsteps--Canadians working in Edinburgh seems to be fairly popular. We were talking to Granny and Grandpa Lambert on the phone a couple of days ago and we're all looking forward to seeing you for Tom's wedding in July if not before. T.C. is actually sitting on the computer and purring so loudly I cannot think straight. Thanks for the update! Love to Shannon and the gang! Love Mom

I am really missing reading your blog. Sorry I missed your telephone calls. Quite a few people around here have asked if you will be adding to your blog--now you have us hooked! T.C. is recovering nicely from his wound and Rick plans to use the laser on him this evening. Sam and Daniela cycled all the way from Victoria to our house last night!! Laura is going to Toronto for 10 days with the military. She loves working at MEC! We're all getting together for supper tonight--it's Sonia's birthday on Monday (Victoria Day) Her sister Nicole is visiting from Maple Ridge. Rick's new partner is named Jerome and his wife's name is Nicole--they have 2 kds. Love Mom

I hope you're reading the comments on your blog--I had a great day today--it turned nice after a bit of cloud. Mary and I went to the cabin and enjoyed a hike and a picnic together. Your Dad was working at the T.C. Mary was emceeing the coffee house in Sooke and I joined her--fantastic entertainment and it was sold out--and I saw everyone there. Nan returned from Seattle with contract work for 3 law firms! She invited your Dad and I to their place on Monday evening for another dinner party--yippee--Margriet and Fred will be in attendance. Tomorrow Colleen is visiting and we're hiking in East Sooke Park and plan to have a snack at the Smokin Tuna cafe--we'll also visit Annie and James so that Colleen can check out their new house! There was a longboat competition on the Sooke Basin today with participants from all over Washington as well as EMCS--it's on again tomorrow--so I'll check it out with Col. Mary invited me to Long Beach for the next couple of days--I said yes and then no, because I wanted her to have time with Daniel and family and visiting Heather on her own before Heather begins working on the charter boats up the coast again. Your Dad's geraniums look beautiful and he has transplanted some into the garden--but now he's skulking around with his paintball gun ready to aim at the grazing deer in the dark--hope he doesn't shoot any of our neighbours--the crazy coot! Dana and John are now contemplating holidaying in Hawaii--I could stay at their place and take care of the girls! Please blog us soon--as I seem to have taken over this old one of yours--oops sorry!
Love Mom
